Bite into the Winona Peach Festival

The Winona Peach Festival is one of those late-summer traditions that’s genuinely worth the short drive east. This weekend you’ll find midway rides, live music, kids’ activities, arts and crafts, and — the main event — peach everything: crepes, cobbler, and the legendary peach sundae. Sunday is your last chance before it wraps up, so don’t sleep on it.

Watch vintage warbirds fly at the Warplane Heritage Museum

This Saturday marks the 80th anniversary of the de Havilland Chipmunk, and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is celebrating with a special fly-in. You’ll see a collection of restored Chipmunks arriving and departing throughout the day alongside the museum’s broader fleet of historic military aircraft. If you’ve never been to the museum, this is a great excuse to finally go.
