This weekend in Hamilton is stacked with free, outdoor events — and if the timing works out, you could hit all three marquee festivals without spending a dime. FrancoFEST wraps up its three-day run at Gage Park, Sundays UnLocked takes over Locke Street on Sunday, and StrawberryFEST rolls into Stoney Creek for a full day of farm-fresh fun. There’s also a community pop-up worth checking out if you’re downtown on Saturday.

Close out FrancoFEST at Gage Park

Friday June 19 – Sunday June 21 · Gage Park, Hamilton · Free

FrancoFEST returns to Gage Park for its third year, celebrating Francophone culture with live concerts, artistic performances, interactive experiences, and community programming across the full weekend. Friday and Saturday are both full days, but Sunday wraps things up if you only have time for one afternoon. It’s a genuinely warm, community-rooted festival — the kind that doesn’t feel like a sponsored event.

Spend Sunday morning at Sundays UnLocked on Locke Street

Sunday June 21 · 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. · Locke Street South, Hamilton · Free

Locke Street goes car-free for the day as one of Hamilton’s most popular street festivals returns for another edition. Local shops, food vendors, live entertainment, and a neighbourhood vibe that’s hard to beat — it’s a great excuse to linger over a long brunch and browse at whatever pace you like. Sunday weather in late June tends to cooperate, so make a morning of it.
