It’s Stoney Creek Re-enactment weekend, Hamilton — the city’s biggest annual living-history event lands on the actual anniversary of the 1813 battle, and it’s not the only thing happening. Pride at Collective Arts, Open Streets on King, and a community fundraiser at Ooey Gooey’s round out a genuinely full slate.

Step back in time at the Battle of Stoney Creek re-enactment

June 6–7 · Battlefield House Museum & Park · Free

Hamilton’s most immersive historical event is back. Costumed re-enactors bring the pivotal 1813 battle to life with period camps, musket demonstrations, and authentic 19th-century experiences. The weekend also features Indigenous programming including traditional Haudenosaunee lacrosse, plus a fireworks display Saturday evening. Perfectly timed — June 6 is the actual anniversary of the War of 1812 victory that helped defend Upper Canada.
